Khimsar is steeped in history-founded two thousand and five hundred years ago by the Jain saint Mahavai this is the starting point of the Great Indian Desert. The founder of the castle which was built in mid 15th century, was prince Karamsi-son of Rao Jodhaji, the founder of Jodhpur.
Khimsar is 90 kms. North-east of Jodhpur and very closte to other places of intrest like Osian and Nagaur. Khimsal provided the visitor with all modern amenities.
